Weekend Adventures!

We had a fun weekend! On Saturday we went swimming with the Barnette's, Favero's and Humphery's. It was at a community center and was a really neat pool. They had a splash pool with fountains for kids to play in, a waterslide and little whirlpool sections. I got caught in the circle whirlpool but managed to fight my way out! Benson hasn't been swimming since August so he was less than impressed! After about an hour we got Benson interested in a wheel that was part of the fountains and we had a hard time getting him to leave!

Bens has also been playing really well with Chandler, the Barnette's little guy. Chandler will find Bens' sippy cup and bring it to him. They hug each other all the time as well. It is just so neat so see them playing together and growing up!


I made a fort for Bens on Friday for the first time. He wasn't too sure about it until I was sitting in it. He had fun playing in it and eventually tearing it down.

I got creative yesterday and made a wreath for our front door. I was at the dollar store and got everything for it. Daniel came home and thought I had bought it. The whole thing cost $5.

American Idol Relief!

So Tatiana was cut last night! It was down to her and our favorite guy Danny Cokey so we are super happy Tatiana got cut. She played up the drama queen aspect to get on camera during Danny's song.

Daniel said that if Tatiana made over Danny we weren't watching American Idol for the rest of the season! I am happy! Well next week we will be watching out for 'Norman Gentel' or Nick Mitchell(?). Should be fun!

Multnomah Falls

So we had a great long weekend! On Saturday we went to the Stake Sweethearts dance and had a great time! Monday was nice as Daniel had it off from school thanks to Presidents Day! We celebrated by enjoying a free breakfast at Ikea with the Barnette's and Humphery's. It was crazy busy in there but worth getting a free breakfast! After breakfast we went up the gorge with the Humphery's to Multnomah Falls. I forgot our camera again so thanks Julie as I took these off your blog!

Daniel, Benson and I are up on the bridge waving to everyone. It is kinda hard to tell though. Benson wasn't too big of a fan of the spray from the falls!

Well last night I watched American Idol. I don't know how many of you are following it this year. I have a bit of a beef with one of the girls they had sing last night. Anybody following can probably guess that it is Tatiana. All through Hollywood week she was the biggest drama queen crying any chance she could. She also has an annoying, high pitched laugh/squeal that she did. Anyways, on to why I am talking about this. Last night she pulled a complete 180 and was calm and collected and claimed she has never laughed like that before and that wasn't what she is really like. Daniel and I both agree that Hollywood week usually brings out what a person is truly like as they are put under tons of stress. She went on to say that she is in marketing and that she would love to just market herself.

Hmm... lets think about this. If Hollywood week Tatiana wasn't the real her then would she really need to market herself? Wouldn't she just need to be herself? I am hoping that America was smart and didn't give her very many votes. We'll see tonight! Anyways, that is todays beef!

I need to go put Benson down for his nap. He is winding up and walking around with my glasses cleaning cloth on his head! What a funny kid.

25 Things...

I, along with Julie, didn't really want to do this on Facebook but I have a napping child and two hours before I have to leave the house again so here I go!

one. I just go a package from my Mom, it has been in Portland for a week but I just got it now... Thanks Mom!
two. I hate calling people on the phone, although I really don't mind get a phone call. I usually make Daniel phone people.
three. I like to read but rarely take the time to do it. The Twilight series was the two week exception!
four. Candy isn't safe around me. I eat it even though I know I should eat less sugar and more of anything healthy!
five. I like to make slideshows. I have done them for my high school grad and for weddings. Sometimes I make ones of pictures I have just to blow off steam.
six. I don't really like drinking water. Daniel is constantly trying to get me to drink more.
seven. I was on a cleaning kick on Saturday and now my house is messy again!
eight. I am super excited to see Wicked in just over a month!
nine. I love my little man! Bens is super cute and cuddle these days!
ten. I hate doing laundry.
eleven. I washed our van for the first time since we bought it in the summer. Our neighbors now know our van is red not burgandy!
twelve. I am terrified to give birth again because I have been through it and know what to expect.
thirteen. I love the Dixie Chicks but rarely listen to them because Daniel can't stand country.
fourteen. I have been having crazy dreams lately. I blame it on the pregnancy!
fifteen. I have never been to a rock concert. I kinda doubt that I ever will though.
sixteen. I love Hanson. Daniel wonders why I don't love the Jonas Brothers because of that.
seventeen. I attended my high school for 2 of the 3 years I was supposed to but graduated with all the classes and credits I needed.
eighteen. I moved halfway through grade 11 (11th grade for all you Americans ;) ) and I don't really think many people in my class of 60 noticed.
nineteen. I don't think I could have asked for a better husband!
twenty. I always think people don't remember who I am so I almost always say my whole name while on the phone.
twenty-one. I really don't like exercising. I don't have an excuse why.
twenty-two. I enjoy scrapbooking and making cards but don't do it very often.
twenty-three. I don't have a middle name. People don't always understand when I say my full name is Chelsea Bateman.
twenty-four. I don't talk to my siblings very much but wants to talk with them more.
twenty-five. If I am in the passengers seat and I feel like we are going to fast I pretend to push the brake with my foot and hang on tight to the door. That is why I usually don't pay attention to the road when I am not driving.

Night, Night!

At night time I sing a song to Bens that my parents sang to me when I was little. It is Samoan phrases and then it says what they are in English. I do little actions for each phrase and this week Bens has started to do them with me. It is super cute! By the last phrase he is so excited that he is doing the actions he skips the last action and starts clapping for himself. That's my little man!

The other day I had one of my socks off and Benson put it on his foot. He wasn't totally happy until the other one was on his foot. You can't see it in this picture but they have pretty bows on them!

Well almost always! He was crying so Daniel took his picture to distract him.
