Tomorrow I will be 36 weeks. These pictures were taken on Sunday and for some reason I couldn't get a picture of me smiling normal!

My parents will be coming down next week to take Bens and I up to Canada. I can't believe it is already about that time! Daniel will be staying down here for about 2 weeks finishing up the term and then he will come up and make it (hopefully) for the birth of our little girl!

Little side story, yesterday we had a picnic with a bunch of Daniel's classmates and their families. One of his classmates asked me when I was due and with a straight face I told him I wasn't. It got awkward for a second until he caught on to my joke. I told him I had a month left and we had a good laugh. I have been waiting to do that somebody for some time now and it was definately worth while!

This week has been pretty good. The weather has been nice and warm so we have been able to be outside playing at parks.

This weekend we were busy having bbq's and playing at the park with our friends. Plus playing games any chance we got. Bens had a lot of fun being able to roam around outside and just be a kid. Daniel didn't have school yesterday because of Memorial Day so we were spoiled having more time together.

Here is a video of Benson just before bed one night. He loves to dance!

Bens has been talking a lot more this past week. He has really started to mimick us. On Saturday Bens was standing infront of Daniel whinning so Daniel followed him to see what he wanted. They went into the kitchen and Daniel asked me if I had gotten the big jar of pickles out. I hadn't so Bens had gone into the fridge gotten them out and was asking for some. He heard us say pickle so he started chanting pickle.

I think that is all for now! Hope you are all having a wonderful week!

One of Thooooose days!

So Wednesday was one of those days for me!

Bens has been excited to go potty on the toilet, so much so that I spend my mornings sitting on the floor in the bathroom. Wednesday was the complete opposite and Bens screamed when he saw the toilet... I don't know what happened!

Well later on we were going to have lunch with Daniel and the morning got worse! I started our van with our remote and then threw the keys on my seat. As soon as I shut the door after buckling Bens in I heard the van lock. I knew there was some reason I was leaving 45 minutes early to go see Daniel! Luckily it all worked out. Bethany, thank you!, got a hold of her husband and he found Daniel who sent his keys home with Julie, thank you!! So 20 minutes later we were on our way to see Daniel!

Yesterday was much better! The sun was shining and Bens had a fun time playing with his mega blocks. The pieces in the picture were all connected and he was walking with them around his leg!

We got some movies from the library and one of them was Pixar short movies. Bens loves the one called Geri's Game with the old man playing chess with himself. This is kind f a long video but you can see his fake laugh he would do. Enjoy. I'm going to take the boy outside now so he will calm down!

32 weeks and 5 days...

Not that I am counting or anything!

I seriously feel like I am as big as I was at the end of my last pregnancy. Daniel disagrees but says I am definitely bigger than I was at this point last time.

Close up of the belly.

We got Bens ready for bed early and decided to let him come downstairs to play for a bit. This is what he did! He has started to let us know when he is ready for bed by getting his milk and curling up on the couch with a blanket.

We started potty training today... this is going to be an adventure! We had to take Daniel his lunch today so I had just put a diaper on Bens so we could go out and this is what he did. (He was watching Cars.)

So our adventure of potty training thus far. I just let Bens run around naked this morning and tried to encourage him to use his big boy potty. He likes to sit on it and will come and get me and say "potty". Then he goes and sits on it then will run away. He likes to take the insert part and wear it as a hat. I think I am going to have to break him of that one quite quickly! We have only had two accidents on the floor so far but my cleaning supplies are quick at hand! Hopefully this will go well! Wish me luck!

PS May the 4th be with you! I know I am a little nerdy but May 4th always reminds me of an old co-worker. May you all enjoy some Star Wars today!

Happy Birthday Bens!

Again there are a lot of pictures and videos in this post. Have to make Bens' grandparents feel like they were here at the party!

Here is Bens' birthday cake. It is Mike Wazowski from Monsters Inc. We made it the day before the party.

Here Bens is excited about his Mike cake.

Here is our front door, modeled after Boo's door from the movie.

Our sushi appetizers. Best idea ever! I found this online. It is a gummy worm in the middle with rice krispies treats rolled around it and wrapped up in fruit roll ups as the sea weed. Now that is my style of sushi!

Here is our Monster Bean bag toss. Bens did pretty well with it. Thanks to Daniel who put this all together!

When the guests started coming we made monster masks for the kids to wear. Bens showing off his mask, it only last long enough for the picture!

Here is a video of Benson and Chandler sharing the computer chair. They are actually becoming quite good friends.

Posing for the camera!

Here are a couple videos of Bens opening his presents.

Bens got pretty excited about this present and forgot about opening the others for a little bit!

Here is Bens' puzzle book he got.

Bens showing off his new basket from my Aunt. He walked around for a bit and then just collapsed on the ground.

Bens got a Big Boy Potty... we will see how that goes! Here he is trying to open the jumbo crayons to color in his new coloring book.

The birthday boy wasn't sure what he was supposed to do with the candles! Maybe next year he will get the idea a little better!

Here are some classic cake eating shots!

Here are the decorations and everybody enjoying the cake.

On Saturday evening we opened presents from Bens' grandparents. Here he is looking at a new book from Grandma and Gramps. He is also wearing his new monkey backpack/harness. He seems to like it so far but we will see once we take it for a trial run!

Here is Bens showing off his new from towel from Nana and Papa. He really did like wearing it!

He had a great birthday! Thanks to everyone that came to the party. You helped make it a really fun day for him.

It is hard to believe that he is already a 2 year old! I feel like I was just pregnant with him not that long ago and now he is walking, talking and running around about to be a big brother. He is such a fun little guy and we love him to bits! Hope everybody has a great day and enjoyed the pictures!

Baby Update

I don't have any pictures of Bens today but I am sure some more are bound to come!

Daniel decided to use his hand as a measuring device this week.

Here I am at 30 weeks. I think I am already as big as I was at the end of my pregnancy with Bens!

Surprise! I cut my hair on Tuesday. I went to a school downtown. It was really nice. It isn't as short as I was wanting it to be. In short I have had worse haircuts! Only thing is that parking cost more than my hair cut did so I don't think I will be going back there anytime soon unless Daniel drops me off!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter one and all! Hope everybody had a great weekend. So as a warning there will be lots of video and pictures in this post so enjoy!

So here is another picture of the belly. We took this on Sunday after we 'helped' the Easter bunny. I am 29 weeks already. For the pregnancy going to slow it is going really quick!

Bens was super funny during his egg hunt. He went from being half a sleep to totally wired in half an hour! Bens loved picking up the jelly beans and stuffing them in his mouth.

This is how Benson started out his Easter egg hunt. He wasn't too interested in the bucket or being on the ground!

This is after Bens realized he could just eat the jelly beans!

He probably had about 8 in his mouth at all times!

So he just kept on putting them in!

Our friends the Favero's came over to enjoy the hunt. Thanks Jeff for all the pictures and video!!

This is what Bens looked like most of the time... he couldn't keep his mouth closed.

Reaching for more candy!

Bens found a sucker and really wanted it!

He was really happy after getting it open!

This is why we got him the bib! We saw that he was going to be drooling a lot! This is after he realized he could just unwrap the chocolate eggs and eat them as well!

There was no way I couldn't post this picture! He is just so happy with his chocolaty teeth!

So here is some video of the after math! Sorry they are sideways! I don't know how to flip them. Bens was super hyper and funny!

I enjoyed watching him in his messy glory!

Here is where the candy ended.

We let Bens sit in his chair and keep eating his candy until he was done. He had two partially eaten chocolate eggs when he said all done. I haven't dared give him anymore candy since then!

My Country Boy!

I was playing some country music while Daniel was at school the other day (that's the only time I can actually listen to it without him going and changing it on me) and Benson started to bust a move.

By the time I got the camera he had simmered down a bit but it was still really cute!
