Did I ever tell you about the time we went and visited Nana and Papa?

Well, since it was February in Canada it started to snow just before we went out to start.

We were a bit cold, but we had a lot of fun!

We had fun up back home as well.  McKay had fun putting his slippers on during nap time.

Taylor had fun playing with a ball at Grandma and Gramps' when we celebrated both February birthdays.

2012 Photos

My sister just sent me a "few" pictures of my kids from last spring and summer.  By a "few" she meant 41!  Thanks Brooke!  I now have pared it down to 18 pictures to share with you.  Some of these are my favorites and am so glad to have copies of them now!  Enjoy!  These were all before she up and left me here in Edmonton!

We would go over to my Sister's place on Wednesday afternoons for a little change of scenery.  One of these afternoons we went out and played with bubbles.  Don't let the snow fool you, it was a nice day!!

Benson and Uncle Asia, I mean, Aric having a sword fight.  They were a pretty good match up as Aric would show restraint that Benson didn't understand when challenging his cousins.

Proof that Kimber and Naomi actually did get along sometimes.  Naomi has even started to say Kimber's name now!  She used to go silent when asked what Kimber's name was.

Coolio Kimber!  This was after a visit to the eye Dr's we had a couple of cool sunglasses floating around here!

Shar and kids came out for a visit last June and the girls had fun together at the park.

Cereal Time!

Our little girl is growing up so much.  I am not totally sure I am ready for it but nevertheless she is growing up!  On Monday she got her first tooth.  We haven't come across any major drama with that yet so we are happy!  On Tuesday we started feeding her rice cereal.  She is doing pretty well with it minus a little gagging in the process.  Last night she ate all the cereal I made!  Enjoy a few videos and pictures on my cutie!

We are slowly getting back into the swing of things around here!  Our first week back in reality was plagued by Daniel getting sick.  Luckily he is getting better but Kimber is starting to come down with it now.  Poor girl!

Taylor is a super cutie though and helps us all get through it!

She has such a great smile!  It is made all the better by the toothlessness of it!  I love gummy smiles! 

She is such a big girl.  We started having her sit in the high chair at the table with us at meal times.  She loves it!  She is really growing up way too fast!!  This was her first time sitting in the chair.

Last week after one of the kids baths I combed they boys' hair straight up.  The next morning Benson's was laying flat and this is what McKay's hair looked like.  He had a good laugh with it when he looked in the mirror.

I hope every body is keeping up with their resolutions.  We explained resolutions to the kids and we each made some.  Mine has been a few years in the making... Lose Weight!!  I am glad to report I have been working out.  I know, I don't do active but I have been enjoying it.  Daniel bought a game for the WiiU called Your Shape and it is great.  I like it better than Wii Fit Plus as I feel like I am getting a real workout.  Benson is my partner in crime and helps keep me on track.  Hopefully this will keep up!  I suppose I should do before and after pictures but I am not sure I want that kind of memory of how much I did let myself go!

Christmas Time!

Christmas was great!  I didn't get very many pictures as I didn't use my camera much and when I did it died.  Oops!  I did get a few choice videos though!

First, while at the Great Canadian Barn Dance B&B Santa came and visited and left us a few treats on Christmas Eve before he made his rounds while we were sleeping!  My favorite was my niece telling Santa that she has been good.  Afterwards her eyes were just big and amazed and she could hardly believe that Santa had really come!

Next we have our re-enactment of the Nativity.  I loved watching Mary with Jesus (Taylor).  She sat there holding her for a long time after we finished.  All the little girls gathered around and cooed over Taylor.  Sorry if it is a bit shaky!

Lastly, but not the least, Taylor is officially a roller!  She has been working on it quite diligently this past week and now I have seen her roll from tummy to back and back to her tummy.  Oh, and this makes for a happy mama, Taylor is sleeping in Kimber's room now.  Yay!

Guess who reminds me of Pee Wee?  In most of the pictures we took that day Benson was doing his fake smile.  You add that to his glasses and the bow tie and we have Pee Wee.

This and That

I have avoided blogging lately as it required putting my pictures onto the computer which was by all means dead!  I am a little excited to announce that I got an early Christmas present which allows me to come back on here and share our lives with you.  It is great for me, I'll let you decide if it is worth while for you or not.

We are going back a little while to birthday season in our house for this one.  I love this video and had to share it.  I am toying with the idea of sending it in to AFV.

My SIL wanted to make Cookie Monster cupcakes and I graciously said that we could do them for McKay's birthday party gathering so I wouldn't have to think of something to do.  They turned out awesome... Thanks Rach!

McKay was pretty cute at Taylor's baby blessing.  He had an old camera and was taking pictures tourist style!

Sadly this is the best picture I have of Taylor the day of her blessing.  This is the dress that my Mom, Sister, Kimber and I were blessed in.  I am grateful that my Mom was able to find it and bring it just days after getting home from her mission.  It was great to see my parents again.  I really missed them.  It was almost as bad as when they went to Japan for a year.  Luckily I had my best friend living with me this time to help me miss them a little less... just a little.  Oh, and I guess having 4 kids around also helped distract me a bit.  No matter how I look at it though I am so grateful that they are home and look forward to spending Christmas with them!

Hmm, now I see that it is half past late o'clock and I need to get some beauty rest before my little sleepless beauty wakes up to eat.
